A nice local club where you can dance with young people (not a pick-up joint!!I'm also concerned about safety, please recommend a safe place. I know there's never any guarantee, but the area should be safe to access, too. |
| Anna N. I have traveled to Bogota' 5-6 times in the last 3 years and my favorite Salsa nightclub is the Galeria Cafe Libro located in Parque 93. Parque 93 is an area that has many nightclubs, bars and restaurants and is quite safe to walk around at night with adequate security. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are the best nights to go as there are many people out and about on those nights. Great music and dancing. A great website to check out the salsa scene in Bogota' is at www.bogota.blogspot.com You can find out who is playing where in Bogota'. Galeria Cafe Libro has advertisements on the site. Check it out and enjoy ! You also may want to check out Andre's Carnes de Reis . Great restaurant and nightspot but is located north of Bogota' in Chia. You will need transportation to get there. Safe and quite an experience. If you can go with a group of people who have a car or can share taxi fare it is worth going there. Check out there website, it has lots of photos which are updated on a regular basis. Quite a "vibrant" website. |
