What makes Colombia Coffee so special? There are many countries that produce coffee, but Colombia seems to be the only one that gets much promotion.

When did you see coffee from Brazil, Venezuela, or Costa Rica on the shelves of your grocery store?

Have you ever had colombian coffee? It is in my opiion the best coffe in the world and it has been that way for many years. It is by far one of the highest qualitis of the coffee world. Check out this website i included it has loads of info about the colombian coffee.

I think it is because of various factors such as the climate, quality of soil, variety of seeds and the hardworking farmers of Colombia which made its coffee one of the best in the world. I am just curious, what kind of or what specie of coffee plant does Colombia have?

You asked about the coffee of Colombia. Colomibia is one of the largest coffee producers compared to other countries and they have a very strong marketing program, because they have a lot of money to spend. Colombia has good coffee but at the same time they have very bad coffee. You must be selective in buying your coffee. In USA you see a lot of coffee that are labeled as Colombia coffee these could be mixed from other coffees which are of lesser quality. Note Panama has had the best coffee for the past 4 years, Geisa.

When it comes to making good coffee I think Jeffery was right when he said that it has to do with the different factors such as the climate and soil etc. It also had a lot to do with dedication and hard work. If you put time and dedication into a product the effort really does show in the quality of the product.

Colombian coffee is a good product, but it has behind it a huge promotion and advertising effort destined to convince the world that it is the best coffee in the world. No reason why it should be the "best", itīs a sales gimmick. And thatīs good, well done, donīt deny it. Why should Spanish wine be better that Chilean?
