My wife and I are considering moving to Cartagena. We have family and a number of friends in other parts of the country and think living in Cartagena would be great. I'm fluent in Spanish; my wife is not, but understands it. I guess the essential question is finances (ain't it always?) What sort of income do you need to live comfortably in Cartagena? Here is one travel information site of Cartagena in English, found from a travel destination search engine. This seems to be geared more for holidaymakers than people planning to relocate there, though.

It really depends on what you do, but if you have a high standard of life where ever you are from, you might need somewhere between 2000 UDS per month
