Can anyone tell me the best and of couse most economical way to get from Caracas or Margarita Island, Venezuela to Bucaramanga, Colombia. I am trying to put a trip together within the next 2-3 weeks and I am having trouble getting there.

Also looking for a place to rent for 2 weeks that is reasonable and in a safe barrio for a gringo.

I am coming to find out about moving there and retire. I have been living in Venezuela for almost 4 years and things are getting pretty scarey and it's time to find a new home. I hope to find the cost of living reasonable and maybe some expats in or around the area.

Anybody that can take the time to respond is a hero, as I am running out of ideas on how to get there from here !!
